Rise to Power

Following the emperor’s death, Zhao Gao and Li Si, the Chancellor secretly changed the emperor's final edict. The forged edict ordered the heir to the throne, Fusu, to commit suicide. Huhai was then enthroned as Qin Er Shi instead.

Zhao Gao received a promotion, where his duties now included managing the imperial palace’s daily activities. He used this power to his advantage to eliminate his political rivals.
